About Gina

Gina McCarthy has worked on environmental issues at the state and local levels and has developed policies on economic growth, energy, transportation and the environment. In her twenty-five years in public administration, she has been an environmental adviser to five Massachusetts governors, including former Governor Mitt Romney.

Then-Senator John Kerry once said that she “lived out a special determination to make every day Earth Day.”

She has been President Barack Obama’s chief of the EPA since 2013 and the White said “the truth is, when you take a look at the record that she has compiled just in her few years as the administrator of the EPA, there's a strong case to make the United States of America has never had a better administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency than Gina McCarthy.”

About "Me"

A few years ago Dan Lundquist purchased a ten acre (non-working) farm on the banks of the Upper Hudson River ten miles east of their former home in Saratoga Springs.

In addition to environmental advocacy activity, Dan works on his Revolutionary War era home. Since retiring as a college vice president he has time to write, explore photography, and study local history while continuing his community service.
